 The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is set to be a major event in the cricket calendar, scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 9, 2025, in Pakistan. This will be the ninth edition of the tournament, returning after an eight-year hiatus since the last edition in 2017, which was also won by Pakistan. The tournament will feature the top eight ODI teams based on the ICC rankings, with Pakistan automatically qualifying as the host nation.


The participating teams are divided into two groups:

- **Group A**: Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh

- **Group B**: Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan



The competition will be held across three major venues: Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, National Stadium in Karachi, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, one of Pakistan's most iconic cricket grounds, will host the final on March 9, 2025.


The tournament's format involves a round-robin stage within the groups, with each team playing the others in their group once.  The winners of the semi-finals will face off in the final to compete for the prestigious trophy.


The ICC Champions Trophy has always been known for its competitive and high-stakes matches, and the 2025 edition promises to be no different, with some of the world's best cricket teams and players vying for the title. The return of Bangladesh to the tournament after nearly two decades adds an additional layer of excitement, especially considering the significant progress they've made in international cricket over recent year
